Kicking Horse Mountain Resort
Kicking Horse is a 2hr drive from Banff and is a good place to go for a day trip if you want to venture away from the local ski areas. Most of the terrain at Kicking Horse is ungroomed and steep and their snowfalls are deep, which makes it a perfect place for advanced skiers and boarders to go searching for powder turns. Although there are green and blue runs, beginners and intermediates skiers may find it limited. The food in the Eagle's Eye restaurant is some of the best on any Canadian ski hill.
